Is there still loads of legal hoops to jump through for .ie's these days or have they relaxed the rules for registering them? Id like to register a radio show name as a .ie, but I dont wanna register it as a company.

    Any feedback would be great.

    Cheers.

There isn't legal hoops to jump through, here. To register a .ie, you simply prove that you have a relevant link and valid reason to register it; ie your personal name, business/groups name or activity or link to the domain. If you broadcast this radio show, then it will be a synch; if there wasn't any protection then your rival stations could easy buy it ahead of you, leaving you short changed.

Well I would caution that if it's an existing radio show on a station that you might want to consult with your management. They could register it on your behalf. Though most stations would prefer that you use the station domain name.

Bear in mind that most stations will be of the view that unless it's an independently produced and bought it show that they will claim the show name and related web sites as their own!

Talk to any of the guys at Blacknight.ie - I've always found them great to deal with regards registrations and domains etc.

I don't work for them but I do have one site hosted with them and I've always recommended them to friends. Dot IE's are a lot easier to reg these days.
