If you right click on a file on the Mac there is an option to 'compress file'. You click that and the file is zipped. But there is no 'unzip' option.

So how do you unzip the file???

when you 'compress' a folder the original seems to still be there and another zipped instasnce of the folder appears.

can you continue adding files to the original folder?

Sure you can, but obviously this has no effect on the existing archive.
