When does night become day?

    Another thread got me to thinking....

    When do you consider a Friday night (for example) to end and a Saturday morning to begin..?

    I never see 12am as the beginning of a new day.. a new day begins when I've had at least 2 hours sleep.

    How do you percieve your body-clock?

    I don't really sleep a lot. I might sleep from around 4am-ish to about 7.30am, but I might have a quick kip 6-7pm. My sleeping and eating patterns are all over the show.

    Amazes me how people get by on little sleep .I'm fond of a cat nap myself and have between 6 / 7 hrs sleep .Going to bed at 12.00 is ideal for me during week , weekends it's usually between 1 / 2 .30 am before I do .

    Since the start of summer I have become nocturnal.... it's all one big blur! I missed most of the good weather!

    If you go out on a Friday night and arrive home at 7am then it's still Friday. It's not the next day until you've been to bed.

    Exceptions can be made if you don't sleep at all until "Saturday night". In this case Saturday starts after breakfast (from full Irish to dirty breakfast roll to greesy bacon). Saturday would also be deemed to have started if you stopped drinking while it was dark and then started again when it was bright outside (e.g. while walking to another party).

    Saturday would also be deemed to have started if there is a unamimous vote to that effect amongst your drinking buddys for some mutually beneficial reason (why else would the pub you got kicked out of at 3am be open again at 1030am?).
