Corro dip Handy stuff for rusty stuff

I had the opportunity to try out a new (to me) treatment for rusty metal.
Corro dip is the name of the product and it is used to remove rust from corroded metals leaving a clean base to work from.
I tried it out first on some old rusty wood augur bits and the results were very impressive to say the least, all rust was removed and just a bare grey metal left.
How this could be used on classics is almost limitless, old imperial and other fasteners can be salvaged and used again hard to clean parts and funny shaped bits can be stripped back to bare metal.
The stuff is some kind of acid, PH 3.5 according to the MSDS which is mixed 1 part to 5 of water, hot water and agitation will speed the process but I only mixed a small amount in a plastic tray to do some small bits.
You mix the solution and then leave the parts in the solution for 5-20hrs.

I am trying it out now on an old electric motor that has surface corrosion and obviously cannot be immersed in the stuff, I have soaked some tissue in it and wrapped the rusty area.
    Pics to follow.

I am not affiliated in any way shape or form with this company, and stand to gain nothing by sharing this info.
