Does it have a best by date?

I have a tube of it that's half used, probably 5 or more years old and there is nothing on the tube about an expiry date. Had a look on the manufacturers site and see nothing there either.

It won't do any harm but wear a glove eh?.....

If it's that old I can't see it being fit for muscular pain.

Your best bet is to buy a new tube and keep the old one to use as lube.

    Hi everybody!

    What's in it? Isopropanol...?

Just melt & drink it instead, it'll work much better =)

Aha, just looked at the end of the tube again and bent back the lip. Shows EXP Aug 2005. Should I chance it :D

In the bin now! I remember way back in secondary school my sports teacher brought me in a bottle of poitin to mix with oil for rubbing into the muscle. Would whiskey do the same? although I hate the thought of having to waste whiskey.

Drink the whiskey, then rub your muscle.

Cider vinegar is a good replacement. Put some on a tissue and leave it on the area for a while.

    darn, only have balsamic vinegar.
Ah well, I'll try and sleep and get some cream in the morning!

Maybe try a hot water bottle, if there is one in the house.
Wrap it in a pillow case so it is comfy on your skin.

It may leave a rash, just think about how you may have to explain that when you go into A&E

Just test it on an animal sure.

Yes, she should be at least 17 to avoid side effects.

Just the thought of it made me cross my legs.

Sure, we have a massive tub of Vaseline at home that expired in 1995. It's a bit thicker than newer Vaseline, but otherwise fine. Matbe Vaseline had a different consistency back in the day.

It's unlikely to do you any harm. It may be slightly less effective though. Give it a go and see if you feel the usual warming sensation.

Playing rugby as a kid, we'd got this stuff that they use on horses. Like deep heat for race horses. Freezing cold Saturday mornings, it was like rubbing lit petrol on your legs. Did the job though!
