Trader schools and seminars

I recently went to a trader seminar in the westbury hotel. It was about 2 hours long. The guy explained certain tactics on how to make money on your first trade.

At the end he gave us the price of a 2 day course with a indivdual trader each to sit beside us and take us through a live trade on our own account and make a profit.

The course cost 2 thousand sterling. You get the software to trade, and a lot of other tools.

Has anyone been to such a training course and what have been your experience,s.

    K.

I take it you are referring to stock market or options trading, a friend of mine went on a similar course about 10 years ago for options trading and trend analysis, he said he found it useful and when he started trading himself he did actually make a profit for about the first 6 months however the markets are unpredictable as we have seen recently and his entire profit was wiped out by the hong kong crash in 1997, after that the market drifted sideways for a few years and he made more losing trades than winning ones and has since given up.

In my own experience you do not need training and software to sucessful with share dealing, you need to take a long term view (10 years+)and research your investments.
