Irv Kessler took his McLaren F1 out for a drive after it had been in the storage for six months. Unfortunately he did have much time to enjoy the ride as the smoke started coming out of the engine bay and soon after the car was in flames. Luckily Irv is okay, but we can’t say the same about this $2 million dollar supercar, which was injured for $3 million.

I like it, I think it looks really mean.
Like "grrrr I was on fire "

Seriously though, at least the insurance will cover it.

I imagine it will be repaired. How much will it cost to repair it? Lots, but a lot less and $2.5m. Will probably have to be sent back to Mclaren in the UK.

I reckon it could cost as much to be fixed as it would for a replacement.

Possibly not the first, or last car to go up in smoke in the present "economic climate"
