Anyone go? I couldn't make it being at the wrong side of the country and all, but would love to know how it was, what was the setlist etc?

Great gig. One of the best i've been to in a while. They started off by playing the new album from start to finish. Then after a short break they came back out and played a greatest hits mix for an hour. Started with motorcycle emptiness and finished with a design for life.

Yeah, it was really good. The first set (i.e. the new album) was a little subdued in places, I'm not sure all the tracks work live. Most of it went down well though. Williams last Words was very poignant, Marlon JD & Jackie Collins were other personal favourites.

The second set was the hits, and they seemed to pick a couple of tracks off each album (apart from Lifeblood, nothing new there. That seems to have been disowned, although some of my favourite manics tracks are there!). JDB was really getting into it, did a couple of crazy dancing moves! Understandably given his health problems, Nicky was a bit subdued, but still did the old 'leg stretching routine' now and then.

Bah, I figured that's the way the set would have worked. would loved to have seen it since it's a change from their usual gigs.

Getting sick of Design being the last song though.

Agreed. Thought it was just me! They have such a huge back catalogue, it would be nice to close with something else occasionally.
