Photographer - Niall Fennessy - Anyone used him?

Hi all -we're thinking of booking Niall Fennessy (based in Swords) for our wedding in October. Has anyone used him before, or heard of any feedback? Thanks!

I never heard of him but just checked his portfolio and I think its great, the fact that he shows quite a few pictures from multiple weddings is a good indicator of quality.

Thanks smelltheglove, I agree, his portfolio looks great... I was hoping to get some feedback as regards how he operates on the day, and how the photos really turn out (naturally any photographer will only put up their best shots on the website!).

Well yes it is true but not many photographers would put up 30 from one wedding, we tend to be very very fussy, mind my website isnt great, very very new, and that is why I dont have so many but there are some I have come across that would only have 10 or 20 and even then I would not be highly impressed.

Looking at them I like the quality and his subjects seem to be enjoying themselves, however I wouldnt be surprised if there was a nice price tag but this would most likely be an occasion where you do get what you pay for!

We used Niall last june (1st year anniversary today!) and were very impressed and happy with his performance and pictures. In fact the first picture is of my wife and I and our others are in the Aine and Ian section. I would highly recommend him and he is very pleasant and kept everyone at ease on the day and none of the fussing I have come across at other weddings.

Just saw your post re Niall Fennessy. We used him for our wedding recently. We found him to be very very unobtrusive. In fact a lot of our guests commented on how unobtrusive he was compared to other photographers they had seen. He was very polite, good fun, and made us feel very at ease. And that was something I needed as I am not good in front of cameras! And yes, we were thrilled with his shots. Hope this is of use Opus_One.

Thanks sweetie and Honkytonks - it's great to have some first hand reports from people who have actually used him. He's on our shortlist and we're due to meet with him on Thurdsay. Did you both go for the CD only option and organise your own album, as that seems to be the main package that he offers?

Couldn't recommend this lad highly enough. Moved around getting some fantastic informal shots of friends and family, completely subtle and unobtrusive.
Photos look fantastic and I like having the opportunity to put our own album together!
