    hi,

a friend had his car parked beside a skip and the contents of the skip became dislodged during the night and fell out over the car and scratched it. just curious who is liable there? the skip company or the person renting the skip? sounds like a headache to me trying to pin it on someone. as i said im just curious im not going to act on the information received here.

    thanks!

It would have to be person renting the skip. They would have a duty of care to ensure that the skip was secure and not a danger to anyone.

I would be thinking the same from a common sense point of view, it was one of those skips bags, so i guess that rules the company out. i'd say it will be tricky to get the money out of them
