    Hello,

Can anyone tell me if the anodized new keyboard from Apple will work on a windows XP system, is there anything that i need to reconfigure or is it just the usual plug and play style.

    Thanks

I presume you are talking about a complete PC system, not just the xp operating system on a Mac. I've never actually plugged an Apple keyboard into a pc but I wouldn't say it'd work at all.

I would buy a generic PC keyboard for around €15 or so (computer shop)

It will work fine - it's a standard USB keyboard (if we're talking about the wired one) so why the hell would it not work? It even works with my PS3...

The problem though is the key layout, which is a bit different to a standard Windows layout (Cmd is the Windows key for example) so really, why would you want to use it on a system that exclusively runs Windows?

thanks for the input so far.

Basically i cant find a small enough keyboard in white, so instead of spending 50 on an apple one i decided to ask if anyone has any issues with them before i bought it.

I may as well take the plunge then and see what happens.

Check out Apple4Less.eu, they are based in Macroom, Co. Cork and sell keyboards at almost half price. They may not have what you're looking for in stock but they are quite helpful if you contact them.
