In the "Dance & Electronic & DJing" section, with 236 admitting to having taken pills, the following quote came to mind...

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989

    Funny 'cos it's true :D :P :pac:

I recall Robin Williams making that remark in 1 of his shows too.

Robin Williams is generally recognised as the biggest plaguiriser in stand-up. Umpteen stories about his underhanded and blatant theft of lines evident after a cursory google search.

I think someone has it as their sig on boards.

I never said he was original, just mentioned that he too had also said it, while alot of other posters above also referred to other people making the same statement.

What I love if the fact OP felt the need to make the important words of a 2 line sentence bold, in case we didn't see the funny bit.
    Thanks OP.

    WAKKAWAKKAWAKKAWAKKAWAKKAWAKKAWAK... what?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

clearly you don't know what your talking about and have lacked the experience of the affects of such chemical's, it is something you have to try to understand...
Did you know the inventor of xtc still takes it and he's 87 can't remember his name tho..

Nope, didn't really play that either. But i do like mushrooms.

I mostly played "Streets of Rage" ( might explain something ), Gods ( might explain the superiority complex) and "Megalomania" which might explain why skilled mercenaries are currently crossing boarders all over the world as we speak.

First you get the sugar and all that.

there's also no repetitve electronic music in pac man, just a jingle at the start of each level, and a chomping sound. so the whole analogy is flawed.

Besides, "repetitive" only really covers minimilist techno. :D

You've barely been a member for 2 years, so how could it have been there for "years"?

Slightly off topic, but does anybody know where the "Hi, I'm pacman... I let drugs turn my life into a maze of destruction..." quote came from? (used in a defective audio tune called Psychomp)

I'm convinced Mario is Soviet propaganda.
    a)He looks like Stalin
b)He acts as a working man hero overthrowing an evil king
    c)the contant flashes of red
