Decent Laptop for Under €500 ?

    Hey Gang,

    Im considering buying a laptop at the moment and just wondered if anyone had any suggestion of what to get. Budget is €500 (inc delivery)

    It mainly be used for surfing the web and storing music and pics etc.

    So im looking for something with min of 200GB hard drive, but will also need a decent processor/speed.

    Anyone know of anything decent out there at the moment?

    Pushing it tight, you are on the borderline with Celeron processors at that figure unless you go for ex stock / factory outlet model Centrino Duo.

    heres one with a core 2 duo intel processor , 4 gig of ram , under €500 , 481.74 to be exact ! , not sure of the delivery , should cut it pretty close to your budget.

    There's a dual-core Inspiron 15 going for €450 at the moment, fairly decent value. I don't have a link to it, just go to the Dell page and you'll find it, probably under their 'hot deals' section.

    looking for a decent enough laptop 300/400 mark with dvd/cd player. mostly using it for surfing the net playing games or watching dvds. any suggestions wheres a good place to look in dublin.

    ok firstly stay the hell away from a dell! if u wanna push it get a NS series sony vaio!! brilliant laptop!! set ya back E659 ish but wort it. if u want to only spend 400 to 500 euro ( not recommended ) you should look into buying a reconditioned laptop. there second hand and can pick up a few good deals and they are often as good as new
