    Some of my friends in WIT are getting results tomorrow...yet there is no results thread???

    What's a Grade 1? It doesn't say.

    Got a 2.1 overall with a 90 in Photography, I'm going to celebrate by going to work tonight !

    A higher cert ya? Your final mark is done by;

    HIGHER CERTIFICATE GPA REQUIRED
    Pass 2.0
    Pass with Merit – Grade 2 2.5
    Pass with Merit – Grade 1 3.00
    Pass with Distinction 3.25

    Its similar to how its marked for the BSc Degrees.. Pass, 2.2, 2.1 and 1.1. :)


    * A (4.0) - Passing Grade
    * B+ (3.5) - Passing Grade
    * B (3.0) - Passing Grade
    * B- (2.75) - Passing Grade
    * C+ (2.5) - Passing Grade
    * C (2.0) - Passing Grade
    * D (1.5) - Compensate Fail
    * F (0) - Fail

    = or >3.25: Distinction aka a First, aka 1.1
    = or >3.00: Merit 1 aka 2.1
    = or >2.75: Merit 2 aka 2.2
    = or >2.00: Pass

    I got a first in everything, so I am delighted

    Only problem is I have to sit some exams I missed at Christmas, due to the fact that my granny died, in August, how do I get the exam timetables for these exams?? Will they be posted up on the exam web page?

    How did you get on Sully did you get that annoying subject you hate so much?

    Congrats and belated condolences to your granny, you never said! The exact exam timetable for the repeats wont be known until closer to the time but the week that they are being held is on the WIT calendar available online. Ill let you know when I get the timetable. :)
    How did you get on Sully did you get that annoying subject you hate so much?

    I was sick on the day (and a few days before it) as was my own granny who was very sick in hospital at the time (thankfully, she has pulled through. Very lucky we are). I sat the exam as I wanted to put something in for the months of study I did but deferred it on the basis as above so I never got the result. I was a lot more prepared for it and felt much more confident but considering I forgot my most basic of Maths on the day, I am glad I never got the result :p

    Please god, and ****ing pray VERY hard, ill finally kill it in the August repeat. Touch wood (everyone touch wood please :D)

    dlofnep; I assume so, the ordinary degree is something I am not familiar with. It cant be anything else unless they got your course title mixed up :P

    4th years; Congrats folks. Glad to see the hard work and effort for you has paid off. Best of luck in the future and hopefully you will secure jobs without much hassle.
