Neck Bruising

I got a mole removed from my neck yesterday, so currently am sporting a lovely big white bandage - which isn't too bad but got a few looks at work today from some customers.
I work in a customer facing role, and the surgeon told me I will be left with a bruise on my neck that "will take some explaining".
So basically it will look like I have a massive love bite once this bandage comes off on Sunday.
My question is how do I disguise the bruise for work?? Scarves are out because its the middle of summer!

Arnica should help the bruise go down quicker.

Use concealer and set with powder? Or just put a plaster over it?

I've found Arnica good in the past. Had an unfortunate accident with a lamp and my face :pac:

a spoon in the freezer for half an hour, then put the curved side against the bruise for a bit. its a cure to help speed up love bites...so i've heard anyway :o

other than that, lashings of foundation and concealer.
or how about one of those summery air hostess type scarves?

Put a small bandage or plaster on it. It's easier to explain that than have people guessing and guessing wrong.

I would start taking Arnica tablets now, and then apply arnica cream when bandage comes off. The sooner the better.

rubbing toothpaste onto a bruise helps cover it up too.

ok every body this is "wot appens"when you rub or put stuff on your skin,
it gets absorbed into your pores.....pores cant breath, bruise takes a lot longer to heal.....let time heal it .

Vaseline is really really good for taking down any swelling and helping clear up bruises. Had an operation on my back recently and had lovely bruises all over my arms from needles, it really did help. :)

Gently rub your neck with a hairbrush. This increases bloodflow to the area (similar to body brushing) and will get the bruise down quicker.

It might be the middle of summer but it's gotten a bit cooler and I've seen a lot of girls wearing these http://www.myddnetwork.com/clothing-shoes-accessories/wp-content/uploads/autumn-trends-scarves-and-neckerchiefs.jpg

you could also try a really light scarf - a clothy thin one to just throw around your neck

I like the the second of those scarves. The first ones are surprisingly heavy. I wore mine all through Winter and it was grand.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Am going to try find one of those scarves - I am sure I saw my 16 year old emo cousin wearing them before - will ask to borrow! I am not allowed but any creams or gels etc on it for a while to let it heal - I can't even get it wet for 5 days! Unfortunately a small plaster won't cover it - its a big enough area :(
Will definitely try arnica once I am allowed to though - and have also been told Vitamin E and Bio Oil for the scar.
