Anyone know where I can get 100% cotton socks in Dublin, went round a few shops today but 85% was the best I could do!?

100% cotton socks are not stretchy.

The best I have seen is 95% cotton, still they are very tight.

You can normally get them for new borns, they are knitted with loops in the side for warmth and stretch.

Why do they need to be 100% cotton?

Well I just heard that nylon, polyester etc is not good for your feet especially in warm weather as they make you sweat a lot more which obviously leads to problems.

It does but you can't get 100% cotton socks unless you knit them your self!

Try sockdreams.com, they do cashmere socks etc but most high st places will do 85% - 95% cotton socks that should be fine for you.

Look for Jockey Socks. They will have 100% cotton. Clearys may have them

Hi you can get 100% cotton socks.

They are currently in stock in Arnotts hosiery department (now upstairs next to lingerie.)

The brand is called Levante and the retail around 9 euro.

The sticker on it says 100% cotton. So you can't miss them

Keep in mind that the top of the sock doesn't have elastic for obvious reasons.

You can also get Falke socks which are 85% cotton and anti-bacterial.

Levante also stock organically made socks which are great too.

The sales assistants are fab. there so just ask them and they'll help you out! :D

Sorry that's what I meant by knitting them yourself.

They look lovely and so comfortable. Good price too.
