Exciting new race coming up on Sunday July 5th. It's a 4 mile run on the island of Waterford Castle. You take a ferry across from the mainland and start and finish at the 800 year old castle which is now a luxurious hotel. The course is car free and takes in the scenic drive around the Castle. Live music on the day plus a post race BBQ. Same people involved who put on the Splashworld 10k back in April.

I got your teaser mail a few weeks ago balance...i was not planning to do it but as its only 5 mins away from my house i'll give it a lash.
What time is it on ?
Are there refreshments in the castle afterwards ? :D

Great spot for running avoiding them white balls from the sky! Saw something about the race with similar level of detail on www.balance.ie but further info will follow on the same site.

Full details will be available next week. It will most likely be a 2pm start. Entry fee to be confirmed but likely to be €15, which includes a funky t-shirt and post race BBQ. There is a limit on numbers so pre registration is advised. (pre registration options available next week) Should be a really cool event.

Really enjoyed this race & the BBQ afterwards, super location. Mighty tough hill in the final stretch.
