doubtful that servicing the car will increase its value by that amount. get the brakes checked though for safety sake.

thanks, i dunno if u think im saying it will increase the price by 4000 euro?? lol, no.. i have only driven 4000k in 12 months since last service.

it does have on next service due may/09 or 96k miles
but im only on 91 or something...

so could i get away with not servicing it, even though i want to sell it

    thanks:D

    I wouldn't bother.

given that you're thinking of trading up to an 02 Clio, I'm guessing it's not an overly valuable car.

either/or! could just be dust/debris/stone, could be brake indicator spring, could be completely worn out pads

    who knows :)

is the squeak there all the time or just when braking?

What's the service intervail of the car?

Most cars have both mileage and time intervals, ie service after X miles or Y months, whichever's first. If the time's up, it's up.

BUT, as you're selling it I wouldn't bother at all....

As for the brake squeal, for the two weeks, turn up the radio!
