But does anyone else notice that their answer books sometimes smell like rotten eggs? Maybe it's just where they were stored in my area, but I noticed immediately in English Paper 1 that there was no new-paper smell from my answer book, but it smelt abit like rotten eggs. It's only on some of my answer books, it was on my maths today.

Off the wall, I know, but anyone else?

Hahaha! It's the exact same for me and literally everyone else in my school sitting an exam.
What the hell do the Board of Education do with those papers?
It happens to some school books aswell :P

Maybe during some spare time in Geography? :P I noticed it AS I was writing. I can do two things at once y'know, sniffin' and writing.

I got another whiff of it during geography. Man I dunno if I have keen sense of smell or if I'm hallucinating or something.

Sodium hydrosulphite can be used for bleaching paper. That might be where the smell is coming from, or some sort of anti-vermin measure wherever the SEC stores the paper.

Ah, I was an observant whipper-snapper back in my JC days. Had a wonderful curiosity about the world too. :')

Funnily enough I don't remember noticing the smell in my LC, but I really don't think this thread was at the fore of my mind at any point during it. :P

Enjoy your JC, kids! It's true what they say about it - it's the be all and end all.
