hi all, ive considered getting my teeth whitened, but have heard that certain treatments leave your teeth incredibly sensitve, i'm not looking for a hollywood smile/every one else has to wear shades kind of whitening, just a natural brightening, anyone have positive experiences/treatments/reccomendations???

Please, folks, if you want to reply, don't mention company names or websites.
The only way we have of ensure the bona fides of posters is if they are willing to PM the OP. You can post your experiences of teeth whitening, but all company details must be exchanged via PM.

    thanks.

Most will leave them some level of sensitive

It's because the bleach opens pores in your teeth that take a while to close, but it will wear off, if you even get it at all!

Also, some places mix in a de-sensitizer with the bleach

thanks for the heads up, i really want to get it done, too many years of coffee and the occassional cigarette, friends think im a little mad because of stories they've heard in relation to drinking/eating hot/cold foods afterward. good to hear, if it does occur that its not permanent in your experience

pm if your interested in a place that uses stuff which is meant to have reduced sensitivity. They also have a special offer on whitening at the minute (or so i was told)
