Im a female with pale skin and dark hair. As a result I have dark hairs on the sides of my upper lip that I bleach. Apart from those dark hairs I have fair hairs aswell. So over all I'v alot of 'fluff' each side.

While I'm aware that laser only works on the dark hairs..is there a laser hair removal machine out there that also does fair hairs?! I just want it all gone once and for all. Money is not a problem, once results are obtained.

Don't fancy waxing..I'm afraid of the regrowth. (I could get my legs waxed and two weeks later it would need to be done again swear if I'm spreading fertilizer or something!:D) Also afraid of it growing back darker and stronger.

    All comments/advise all appreciated!
    Thanks.:)

Thats right, laser only works on dark hair and all the better if the hair is dark and skin is pale.

Yep, only works on dark hairs. You would need to get electrolysis done for the light ones!

Yeah its not the dark ones I'm worried about as I know laser would sort them out, but its the fair hairs..so electrolysis would be my best bet on them then? And tell me, if Im getting electrolysis done, would it also do the dark hairs?

Waxing definitly won't make it grow back darker and stronger, if anything the follicles will be weaken by repeative waxing, though as someone who waxes her upper lip, it hurts!! I'm a baby that way :p However only the lightest peachy fuzz comes back now, nothing like how it was.

Electryolsis works on both dark and fair hair because it has nothing to do with pigments, the probe causes localised damage to the parts that create hairs so prevents hair growth that way. Maybe see a beautican that specalises in hair removal, she might be able to tell you what's the best course of action, you could always have a mix of both treatments if that gives the best results.

The Ailesbury Clinic in Dublin and Cork claim to have the only FDA approved laser treatment in Ireland for blonde, white or grey hairs.I think the machine is called the Aurora. You can look it up here under the "treatments" section at www.ailesburyclinic.ie .If you search YouTube for "laser for blonde hair tv3 interview" there is short video of the Doctor who works in the clinic talking about the machine and how it works.
Sorry about the lack of decent links. The iPod badly needs copy&paste!

That's brilliant. I hope it goes well and will be very successful for you. Come back and tell us how you get on if you go ahead. :)
