Heres my 3rd edition list. As I understand it, Craftworld Eldar aren't legal anymore, which really messed it up. But also, my HQ and Heavies going way up in cost sent it reeling into folklore.

HQ: Avatar

Fast: Vyper, Missile Launcher, Twin-linked Catapault

Fast/Troop (?): Warp Spiders (7 regulars, 1 Exarch /w/ Withdraw, Powerblades, Death Spinner)

Troop: Fire Dragons (5 regulars, 1 Exarch /w/ Burning Fist, Firepike, Melta Bombs)

Troop: Striking Scorpions (9 regulars, 1 Exarch /w/ Crushing Blow, Scorpions Claw, Shuriken Pistol)

Troop: Howling Banshees (9 regulars, 1 Exarch /w/ Acrobatic, Executioner, Shuriken Pistol)

Troop/Attachment: Wave Serpent (Twin-linked Shuriken Cannon, Single Shuriken Cannon, Holo-Field, Spirit-Stone)

Heavy: Falcon Tank (Twin-linked Catapault, Starcannon, Pulse Laser, Holo-Field, Spirit Stone)

Heavy: Wraithlord (Bright Lance, Shuriken Catapault, Flamer)

Heavy: Wraithlord (Starcannon, Shuriken Catapault, Flamer)

It worked out at a flat 1500. But they fudged it. They fudged it all! DAMN THEMMMMMM

And my god, those Banshees really made mince of Grey Knight Terminator squads. 190pts >>>> 600 pts

Altogether though it was never an unfair list, I was typically very bruised and bloodied at the end of the battle and 1/5 of the time I got my ass handed to me en massacre. I know the Biel Tan rules are/were easy to abuse, I dont think this was the case.

I'd heard the C'tan rumour as well on BOLS. It's an interesting option.

As much as I'd love to see a Necron update, Id hate to see the Dark Eldar get crapped on again.

Necrons will probably get their day in the sun once the Space Puppies are out of the way.

The old rumours did suggest C'tan would be Apocalypse only, though based on the retconned fluff from the 5th Ed rulebook, I imagine its more likely that they'll get pitched as the "Insane Necron Lord" special characters. So you can keep your models.

I do look forward to the new Lords based on the new fluff, I imagine that WBB will be given an overhaul too.

Mmmm, I've heard this, about the different levels of the necron lord? Silver, gold , platinum was it? With teh last being granted a necrodermis, hence the keeping of the awesome Nightbringer model!

Word is that WBB will be changed to feel no pain. Personally, I don't like this. I LOVE the individual nature of this rule! Plus I love singing the terminator theme tune when I succussfully roll 4+!

But that aside, the most important thing to sort out is the fallback initiative thingy. I'm getting MASSACRED with I 2.

Actually, I can't wait for a codex update! The fluff should be awesome, hopefully with lots more on the C'tan. Lots of players want more choice in the army, but there's something attractive about the small scale efficiency of the army list. Maybe just one or two more units, preferably at least one Troop.
