My bro has swallows nests under the roofs of his galvinised sheds. So far 3 babies have fallen out of various nests. He reckons the heat is making them want to escape. Any ideas/suggestions as to what to do?

Nothing. Of all baby birds I would think you have no chance at all in saving swallow chicks. Nature is cruel - get used to it. :)

Maybe there are just too many chicks in the nest....natures way of dealing with over population.

Such is nature. Let it go. It happens all kinds of birds and the species survives.
