All Lions players have to share a room

    (1) Who would be your favourite to share with

    (2) Who would you want not to share with

BTW - no sexual stuff allowed

I would probably want to share with DOC or Powell, easily the jokers of the squad, i hear Powell is one of the funniest guys out there.

I wouldnt want to room with Lee Byrne. Any man who wakes up in the morning and kisses his "guns" has to have issues. :pac:

I wouldn't mind sharing with Tommy Bowe. Great craic with a few beers and a guitar.

Hate to share with Stephen Ferris. You would have to keep reminding him it's the British and "Irish" Lions. :D

Would like to share with Drico cause he's a focking legend. Wouldn't like to share with Donncha cause I still can't sleep with the image of those red y-fronts burned into my memory

I'd share with the Dorce I reckon. He's supposed to be manic banter and seems like a really nice guy.

I was talking to an English guy after the HC final - he said that he and his rugby mates decided that of all professional rugby players, Darcy would be their first choice drinking partner. Gifted player but dropped on a few occasions early in his career because of excessive boozing, over-banterous attitude... LAD!

LOL :) who told ya that sh!te. I've met the lad loads of times and he's not like that at all. He's extremely focused and rarely drinks. Still a nice bloke though....

Yeah, I'd heard he's cleared up his act alot! It's definitely been for the good of his career / Irish rugby etc but I'm still quietly disappointed :)

Still a nice guy though, I've met him myself.

From what I can recall he very nearly didn't have a career because of it in his younger days. Being left out of the 2003 World Cup squad was his eye opener apparently. People have short memories - before his performances when BOD was injured at the start of the '04 6N he would have been a bit part player.

I'd imagine its because he's so far up his own arse that he can lick his tonsils.

Read his book , came across as a tosser which he try's to hide behind his "I'm just a shy Cork boy" image in interviews.

    Still a great player though.

Yeah he came onto the Irish scene when he was still in school so the fame went to his head a bit. It wasn't that he was a party animal or anything it's just that he was a bit immature and didn't realise the commitment required to stay at the top. Plus he didn't see eye-to-eye with Gary Ella at Leinster at the time and his immaturity meant that he took criticism personally.

Because he comes across as a highly dislikable arrogant little git with no manners, thats why.
As op said reading his book only made matters worse.

Whereas David Wallace seems like an honest gent who would be a good laugh.

Bod seems like a sound bloke tbh and the last thing I would describe him as is an arrogant git, although he is good enough that he could probably pull it off.O'Gara has no such luxury.

Dude I live three miles from ROG and am an avid Munster fan doesn't mean I have to like him.

Thought BOD was getting a bit big for his boots around 2005/2006 but seems to have mellowed a bit , would have no problem rooming with him.

Does anyone else think this is an utterly pointless thread?
