I am so utterly unprepared for both of these right now.

How the hell do you solve for x????

solving for x is easy - my problem is filling the venn diagram in.

If they ask to find x, let everything in the diagram equal the number they say is the total number of whatever(people generally) in the diagram. Simple equation if you have it filled in right.

To solve for x... you just re-write all of the numbers and letters (x) that are in the venn diagram which you drawn.
Don't forget to include the outside number aswell.
Have all of these equal to how many took part in the survey.
    Then just solve.

    I hope I helped?

To find x, add everything in the Venn diagram and let them equal the universal set (ie. all of them added together). Then it's just a simple equation. The problem with the damned things is filling them in. You need to be careful, but the exam is a time-pressured exam (which is a joke, I think it should be extended by 20 minutes or so).

I'm extremely worried about Irish. I'm useless at everything. If I can pass it, understand most of the tape questions and the understand the aggalamh and essay, I'll be smiling.
