i think its a bit silly if it happens hatton's not that sour yet but no where near what he was like, he may win a next fight but getting it on with any top ten p4p near his weight class is long gone..he can train his defence but he can forget bout his chin its always going to be there its ricky hatton..khan is a different story apples and oranges, why would freddie tell him to retire and now supposedly train him...

This is gettin' farcical really. Hatton should hang em up and Roach himself knows this.

Roach cannot lose here at all. He'll be paid handsomely and Hatton's legion of desperate fans will now believe that a new Hatton will emerge from Roach's input. When he again gets found out, Roach cannot be blamed or tarnished, sure wasn't Hatton past it and washed up?

I tell you, Hatton will again sell out in a big mega hyped flop. His followers can see nothing wrong and they never will

for some reason i can see Hatton fighting Oscar in wembley or city of Manchester staduim for one final hurrah.Terrible it would be to see that.

Hatton has made enough money to ride off into the sunset and take it easy

without having to cut a lot of weight i see De La Hoya beating Hatton.

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

I think at this stage Hatton just needs good training. No trainer is going to change his style or anything and he is the way he is. Especially with his lifestyle and the fact that he only wants another fight or two.

when hatton faught kostya tszyu he walked on to a couple of right hands during the fight he took em well and never looked stunned ,he cant take a punch never mind walking on to one.on another hand i suppose another few pound wont hurt to get all his friends pissed ..again

I guess its "cool" to hate on Hatton at this point in his career.

If you guys are going to criticise Ricky for wanting to do what he has always done, then you must lay part of the blame on Freddie's door step.
In fact if Roach does train Ricky - I blame him 100% - this is the guy who adivsed Ricky to retire.

No trainer can change Hatton at this point in his career, his style while effective has eventually caught up with him - he simply cannot take the shots that he could a few years back.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with Ricky wanting to go out with a W - after dedicating his life to the sport it is the least he deserves.

It amazes me how certain ppl will bang on about money and he just wants to "con" the fans one last time

BTW he does get that W against even the shot Oscar.

I personally don't think hatton can be coached -
Floyd had him on trained to fight manny - with a proper strategy and game plan -
He was fitter then he had ever been & was looking very fast & very strong in training.

As soon as ricky got in the ring - he forgot all that, reverted back to form & got knocked the f*ck out.

Dude a leopard cannot change its spots. Ricky never changed. Never mind that crap you saw on 24-7. Pre-fight hype.

I think a boxer can learn to fight more technical - even after the fight ricky said he wouldn't appologise for putting on a show

maybe if he fought more technical I wouldn't feel so jipped after paying 500 bucks for a ticket
