Diabetes and getting money..

    I just heard from a friend that diabetics can claim money from the state "i think" because they need a special diet and it can be more expensive than the normal diet.Has anybody ever heard of this and is it true??

    Only the 4 diets laid out on the page linked in the post above are given monetary supplements,but certain foodstuffs are included under the medical card also, such as supplement drinks/yoghurts, gluten free products etc.tthese are written as another item on the patients prescription.

    Cheers mate,il drop down to the citizen advice center during the week and collect the form.It doesnt mention diabetes on it though..
