fork crown race advice

    The fork crown race is of a smaller inside diameter than the fork tube, it's designed to be a press fit and so shouldn't just slide down. Might want to measure both of the diameters, Park recommend a range of 0.05 to 0.15mm. Anything less and the race will not seat properly, any more and you could damage the assembly.

    It may be that the fork crown needs to be machined, if not then you can just work it down onto the seat with a rubber mallet and a piece of piping.

    Just hammer away with a bit of pipe over it. I used an old crown before when I was putting mine on. It will be tight.
