Hi, so until yesterday I was with Vodafones broadband service, i canceled it yesterday and now have a spare modem. I would like to switch over to Meteor. The modem works with Meteor as I have tried it with a Meteor sim card. I'm wondering if its possible to change the plan on this sim card to the broadband plan and use it as Meteor broadband To Go.

    Hi,

According to my experiences Meteor is not much willing to convert Voice prepaid to broadband prepaid - at least when I tried the same, telling that I accidentally bought a regular SIM instead of a broadband one, the most they could propose was to go to a Meteor branch with the SIM and the modem, and get some support there.
In the end I did not even try... :(

The SIMs are the exact same, there's nothing different about a broadband SIM compared to a standard phone SIM. Just buy the data add-on with your credit and apply it.

You need to have topped up with the required amount before you can buy a data add-on. If you have no credit, it won't let you buy it.

    jor el,

so you say that there is no difference between "regular" and broadband SIMs? This would be very interesting - in fact I seem to miss some knowledge here: how do you technically buy the data add-on?

    Thanks,
    Gabor

I'm not a meteor customer, but as far as I remember seeing, you go into your online account and buy the add-on from there. This is definitely how it works with Three, and I'm sure I read that it's the same with Meteor, but perhaps I'm mixing them up.

    Instructions here.
