Getting a J1 visa at this stage?

Hi, I was just wondering is it in any way possible to sort out a J1 visa this late without going through USIT or SAYIT. Both companies have finished their J1 packages for the year. Is there any way you can apply directly to the US embassy or anything to get the DS-2019 form. I understand that they request an interview and that it takes a few weeks to process, but I was not planning on going over until next month.
    Thanks

I just found out there that USIT have actually extended their J1 program. The downside to this is that USIT are an absolute rip off when it comes to the J1. The whole thing is around €1000 as they make you book your flight/insurance with them also. I went with SAYIT in 2007 and the whole thing only cost me €640 as I got my own flight and insurance.

I know go4less have finished taking people and I'd say that USIT and SAYIT will soon enough. You left it way too late.

No need to get snappy. I'm not the one trying to get a J1 in June.
