Anybody know within Dublin (city preferably) where I can get a replacement battery for my polar sports watch, it is a 725 make.

(*The speed & distance have stopped working on it while all other functions are ok, the speed magnet is giving a red light signal every time the speed sensor pass by it and it only just about a 1hr old, so Im presuming its the battery. Any thoughts would be appreciated.)

    Thanks in advance

Maplin in Blanchardstown. Its dead easy to change, small philips screwdriver and thats it. Your supposed to send the watch back to keep the waterproof seal but mine was fine, just be careful replacing the seal.

The watch repair place in Stephens green centre but if they dont have the battery it will be a week or more before you get it back.

You could try Cycle Superstore in Tallaght - and a call beforehand would confirm. I got my Polar there and they have loads of additional bits so I wouldn't be surprised if they had batteries too.

They have batteries for sale but they don't change them - part of their contract with polar apparently - I bought mine there and changed it myself and it's been fine.

TIP: take a phone photo of the damn thing before removing anything - was like the krypton factor putting it back together

The 625 and 725 will be f*cked up if you change the battery yourself.

    Been there, done it.

yeah im not going to do it myself, ill pay the extra few euros to get someone else more experienced to do it as its worth that extra few euros cos the watch is worth alot.

Thanks for all the help guys, was thinkin of sending it to polar uk but it takes longer than trying to get it done locally, so am hoping to get it done locally somewhere, will try suggested places this wend.

Less than five days. Very quick, very cheap.

Yeah I've done it before and must say the service is v.good. I will do it if my new battery doesn't fix the issues I am having (speed & distance not working).

    I'm hoping it will thou....

I'm not advising you do this but my dad screwed his polar watch replacing the battery himself and then polar sorted it for about £20 including delivery - probably best just to get them to do it right first time.
