Hi, I sent in my MED1 form back in late January.

I'm still waiting (hopefully for a cheque)!

Anyone else still waiting for a response?

    hi chewed,

it could be due to your employer, sometimes bigger entities (like HSE for eg) are late sending in the P35 and hence even tho you got your P60, it may not be on record with the revenue yet.

Give Revenue a ring to see what the hold up is and they should be able to tell you straight away

Thanks! I'll be calling in the morning. Though I meant to say I called them back in March and they said they had my application but had a back log.

I've sent in a few for family members back in early January, and haven't heard anything either, I've been too busy at work to get the time to give revenue a bell, but will have to get around to it :)

Do ring! I received a cheque for €70 back in early May. I assumed this was a separate tax return. But then realised that this may have been my Med1 tax return. I was expecting considerably more as I had a lot of expensive dental care in 08.

When I called them, they agreed that the €70 was very low and would look into it. She called me back a few hours later to tell me they made an error and issued me with another cheque.

    Glad I called now!

Just as an FYI, the Med1 form can be done online now at www.revenue.ie

When I filled it in 2 months back, it actually told me that they didn't have my P60 details for '08, but then allowed me to enter totals online.
