I was given a rental copy of this film and really didn’t expect very much from it but was pleasantly surprised.
I’m not really a fan of Stephen Dorff, or Kilmer for that matter, but he has been putting in a lot of solid performances in some quality independent movies of late so I gave it a viewing.

Honestly, I’d highly recommend this movie to anyone.
It falls into the cautionary tale of “what if this happened to me", the movie follows Dorff through his traumatic and emotional journey through the prison system, and his daily battles just to fit in..

A well portrayed movie of the American penal system, its many flaws and how it manipulates individuals to become their worst, both as inmates and as guards.

Harold Perrineau of LOST & OZ fame puts in a great performance but Val Kilmer steals the show for me.

Best prison movie I’ve seen in a long time.

    Seriously check it out…
