Strange reception problems

    Hi all,

Just noticed in the last week or so, that I'm having problems receiving some stations. When I select the station, I get no signal received.

It's not happening with all stations - I've noticed that many of the music channels (350 onwards) suffer from the problem, as does Dave (111).

I checked the signal and I get approximately half a bar for signal strength and a varying level from 0 to 1/2 for signal quality.

Anyone else having a similar problem?

your dish needs re aligning if signal is that low.

But how come I don't have a problem with other stations? I would have assumed that if a dish needed re-aligning, it would affect all stations?

No beacuse different stations use different power levels

Not all channels are received with exactly the same signal level. If there is something wrong with your set-up, then this may affect some channels more than others.

I suspect in Ireland the 2D is strongest and Eurobird weakest and the other sats inbetween.
