Backflushing

    Just wondering how to go about backflushing my Gaggia Classic?

    I have some Cafiza and a blind basket and blind filter. I tried the blind basket last night and, although there was some whooshing noise, the Cafiza didnt budge from the basket. I had assumed it was supposed to be sucked up into the machine and out into the tray.

    Anyone any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

    The cafiza will dissolve in the hot water from the machine, and it will do the rounds of the dispersion screen and solenoid valve.

    Instructions are on the side of the cafiza though...

    Ah, so there should be water in the tank - I thought that but didnt want to risk it so probably didnt put enough water in in the first place. Thanks Reactor.
