    Hi - just a quickie.

I've killed about 12 of these in my room / bathroom over the past 24 hrs, do I have a problem or is it simply that time of the year when they all want to party inside? I'm semi-afraid of spiders, mainly the small fat ones that can run quickly, not so much these ones (the bigger skinnier ones which look slike Daddy Long Legs without the wings.

    Thanks :)

    ye, stop killing them.
catch them with a paper envelope and put them outside.
12spiders is almost enough to cause rain this weekend, dont kill any more spiders please

Nope, death is imminent if they step inside.

While I understand your fear I would urge you to try to overcome it.

To answer your question though, it is the time of year they try to find somewhere cool to have young uns...

On Monday morning my OH and i found 3 of them hidden around our bathroom...we trapped them and popped them outside (although I have a feeling one of them was a fella we had released outside over the weekend who had come back in). Just get a big jar and a piece of card...you hardly have to go ner 'em!! or try this http://www.spidercatcher.net/EU/home.htm

All day on Monday in work a fly was driving me mad...I figured he was angry with me for allowing 3 of his enemies to live!!! :D

The long skinny ones are house spiders they do not live outside, it is just the time of year for them. I tend to hoover floors walls and ceiling this time of the year, if you let them loose the house starts to look like it belongs to the Adams Family:o with webs everywhere
