Any firing ranges?

When I was abroad recently I went to a firing range and fired 9mm & .45 pistols and .375 and .44 magnum revolvers. Afaik, pistol shooting isnt legal here or at least, like other 'gun clubs' you need to be a member of a society/org.

So my question is, if I want to fire pistols, rifles or shotguns, whats available in/near Dublin to the novice?

    Thanks

It's highly unlikely that anywhere will let you shoot handguns as a walk-in, though.

Handgun shooting is legal here (although even stricter controls are being put in place shortly) but most clubs I know of won't let you shoot handguns until you're a reasonably well-known member of the club.

There's a list of clubs in the wiki.

I'd go further and say that NO club I know of will facilitate walk-in handgun shooting.

Like Courtlough mentioned above, Hilltop (near Newtownmountkennedy) also provide .22 rimfire rifle benchrest and clay pigeon shooting.
