Raynauds..?

Ok, I know this is totally wrong and will probably make me seem like a hypochondriac ..however I am worried I've Raynauds and I'm pretty sure its primary. My hands are in no way tolerant of temperature changes, when I walk (I usually bring the dog for a walk in the evening) if I get too warm, my fingers swell and really hurt. If I so much as hang wet clothes on the line they hurt from the cold and/or I get pins and needles. When the temperature drops my nail beds go blue, REALLY blue!!
I suspected it for a while after doing some reading and was asking a pretty senior nurse, hypothetically about it when I was last on placement.
So, my question is this Would this affect my chances of becoming a surgeon?
I'm terrified it could, and it is this fear that is stopping me going to my GP about it:(
Someone please tell me if I'm being ridiculous!!!

Having spent about 7 hours in an OT today being cold wasn't a problem, but then it was 28 degrees outside :) Raynauds can be a symptom of other conditions and is definitely worth getting checked out. You should definitely go to your GP. If you're in a hospital (you're a nurse right?) you could maybe ask a rheumatologist about it? Either way, its worth getting checked.

    Thanks for that:)

Yeah student nurse (..unfortunately), and unless Nurse on Call hurries up and gets back to me with a nametag I'll hopefully have no reason to be in a hospital until September...

But you're right..I will go see my doctor...eventually
