How do I convert a VHS to digital format?

    Sorry, had a look for a forum to put this in, there are way too many it just wrecks my head. Maybe a few people here can help me out.

    I have an old 80min vhs movie that I want to digitize. How would I go about doing that?

    You'd need a video capture card, I think. Or some sort of video input on your PC.

    Or else one of those USB video recorders made for transferring old tapes onto PC (they're in Maplin); dunno how good these are though.

    if your gonna use your pc to do it,make sure to use an internal capture card (PCI/AGP or whatever).....much better quality than USB ones......

    you could also use a DVD recorder.....maybe easier .........

    LOL, never thought of the most obvious solution - the DVD Recorder! Probably the handiest if you have access to one, as well as a VCR.
