Looking at the markets and 2 currently stand out - Tyrone for UFC and Dublin for LFC - both at 5-4 with Boyles so double pays around 7-2.

Tyrone have just overcome Armagh and should improve to face Derry in the semi's who looked very poor against Monaghan.

Dublin's hardest match in Leinster is this Sunday against Meath. The fact that Kildare are second favs for Leinster says it all about the quality in the province.

On a sidenote Bohemians to win the LOI Premier League are 11-10 - add this in and you're looking at over 8-1. Bohs have played their 2 main rivals away from home already - a win at Cork and a loss at Derry. They look the standout bet of the summer. I'd rather take a 110% investment on my money that getting a whopping 4% off any bank.

While I do think Bohs are the best bet to win especially after Cork's loss tonight I would be wary with backing either Boh's or Cork considering their financial difficulties.

I think tyrone are a great bet alright but I'm not too keen on the Dubs. I think they might struggle under Gilroy yet they might not. Kildare have the far handier side of the draw too so they look value at 7/2

For any Bohs bet you should definitely be factoring in (what you consider to be) the percentage chance of them getting a points deduction at some stage of the season.

Its too late now - I took the 11-10 yesterday. What % chance have they of going bankrupt? I really dont know.

Is anybody taking each way odds on the provincial championships? Wexford are 20-1 on Paddypower and 25-1 on Boyle Sports to win the Leinster football championship. Could be a bargain each way bet

Just back them at 7/2 to beat Kildare. Then stick the winnings on the next match until you get to the final.

I have backed Westmeath at 10/1 to win a wide open Leinster. Despite a dismal League campaign, Westmeath have nearly all of last years panel available for this year with the likes of Healy, Dessie, Connaghton all returning to bolster a team that should have beaten Dublin and could have knocked Tyrone out of the qualifiers. Excellent value IMO.

I dont think Westmeath have any chance of winning Leinster. Dublin gave them the mother of all hammerings in the league and if they come across them cant imagine them being too confident meeting the dubs even if it was only the league Westmeath always seem to bottle it when they get to Croker!! They had a very good league campaign last year having got promoted from Div 2 hence they played well and ran Dublin and Tyrone very close. But really feel they are gonna struggle this year after a humiliating league campaign.. I maybe wrong but cant see it happening myself

Dublin are now odds-on - trading around 4-7 and tbh cant see them getting beaten in Leinster now.

Now come on Tyrone against Derry.

Nobody giving the Lilywhites a chance in Leinster it seems by the replies to this thread. Just the way we like it down here in Kildare. Has nobody opened a newspaper or turned on the tv in the last 12 months?;)

Is that a photo from the hill watching the Dublin forwards last Sunday;)

The Westmeath team will be unrecognisable from the team that played in the league with nearly all their established team of the last few years coming together for one last bash at what is a poor Leinster

Certainly not; To me, Kildare are second in Leinster only to Dublin, and that isn't by a wide margin based on the Dubs' recent performances. I would definitely fancy a bet on Kildare to win Leinster, though they'll probably have more difficult opposition en route to the final.

I take it all back Westmeath's team this weekend looks very weak and Wicklow at 11/4 could be the value of the weekend.
