Hello to all you fit people!

Amature here! I would really like to do a 10k run in Phoenix park or somewhere?

Can anyone tell me if there is one coming up in September??

And I would also really appreciate some tips in how to go about training for it!

    Thanks a million

    :)

Hi Alicia Angel - if I were to recommend a really nice 10k run to do it would be the Donadea 10k on 10th Oct. You'll find details on the donadea running club website - it was a brilliant race last year - great atmosphere and really well organised; I know it's a bit outside of Dublin, but it's well worth the trip! As regards the training, have a look at the Hal Higdon training sites - they really helped me along, though I'm not a superfast runner by any stretch..!

As far as I know theres a 10km race in tallaght in August. There was last year anyway. It was sposored by pearl izumo I think. So that should be on again this year.
But the addidas race series kicks off with a 5miler (thats 8km)in July. Thats followed by a 10miler in august and Then a 13 miler(half marathon) in september. Also on the 28th June theres a half marathon out in clontarf. Check it out........

Im sure there'll be other races here and there, your best bet would be to do the addidas race series 5 miler because after the race you'll be provided with details of upcoming events.
    Hope that helps
