    Hi Folks,

have been thinking of changing my irons for a while. currently have Ben Sayers set, 5 years old and feel (hope so) that a change in Irons to a better quality set would help my game - added to a few lessons of course.

anyway i know that a few here will say 1st get lessons then decide on a set but i'd appreciate it if people would just give an honest opinion on these clubs.

    thanks.

That's a good price for those irons and they look like they fall into the 'game improvement' category so would be suitable for most. It's always good to try before you buy(though I admit I didn't). If you're based in Dublin, Fingal Golf Centre near the airport have a load of demo clubs. You may not get to try that specific iron but maybe ones very similar - just an idea. You will also have to factor in the price of a new SW(unless you are planning on using your old one.) Best of luck.

Yes they are a decent set of irons. I assume you are left handed - if not then ooops (they are a set for lefties).

An alternative is to get a good 2nd hand set - much better value than the useless "beginner" sets.

second hand lefties go for next to nothing in pro shops from what I have seen mate.

The R7 are a nice club, have them myself and love them.

Well although you may find it hard to get a good set, the good news is that most 2nd hand LH sets or end of range sets are better value. The set you suggested is good value.
