    hi a friend of mine works in a sony centre and has told me that sony will have to start charging for psn next year because of costs, recession and doom lol any thoughts?

    ive heard nothing from anyone in sony

    a subscription service as well as the regular free one wouldnt surprise me though, coz they were recently doing a survey of journos about the service. theres no chance theyll scrap the free one though, thats one of their main selling points ahead of xbox live

    How would a sony centre know?

    They're not even part of sony. I think all Sony centres in Ireland are owned by Peats.

    im not sure he said he heard it from an official sony rep! maybe it could be like vip membership or something like it? im asking as i want to know whether someone else heard the same?
