    quick question, with an iphone i bought that isnt blocked and isnt part of o2 ... can i still take out insurance on it?

    First thing iphone thread go in the Apple Media Devices forum

    Secondly other companies have insurance so you do not need to go with o2's insurance. They use 'phonecover' which use zurich insurance. One example is carphone warehouse have their own type insurance.

    Thirdly if you did go with phonecover i would think you would be ok. You would probably need the phonecover extra which is €9 a month rather than the €6 a month standard, which covers mobiles from €500 to €1500.

    Remember insurance isnt perfect, there can be weird conditions, like cover is not valid if the sim isn't in the phone at the time, or robbed from the car etc so check all the policy details.
