Wondering if anyone has any of these that I could take off your hands? They're for my local school who are collecting.

With a name like black and gold, are you from Kilkenny?

Sorry, my son's school is collecting them too so can't help you. Mind you they don't put any pressure on parents to collect the tokens. It's strictly if we shop in Tesco anyway.

Could anyone please give their thoughts in connection with the title above.

    1. Do you shop in Tesco in order to retrieve the vouchers?

    2. Do your kids ask or pester you for the vouchers or to shop in Tesco?

    3. Does your school ask you or hint to you at teacher/parent meetings to support the scheme?

    4. Any school teacher/principal comments welcome.

    5. Any idea per year what the school gets in products from Tesco.

This article below claims that this is big advertising for Tesco, but gives the scheme the thumbs down. http://www.commercialfreeeducation.com/archives/51

    6. Any other comments welcome.

Absolutely no pressure what so ever from any of the schools I'm involved with. I know that many principals feel very strongly that they don't like to see the children, schools, parents or teachers being used by companies in this way. Mind you, of all the schemes, many of which are an insult to the intelligence of teachers and parents, the Tesco token scheme is possibly one of the better ones. I would never ever put pressure on any child to collect tokens for any scheme and no matter what, parents should not feel under any pressure. Teachers also have far better things to be doing than counting and sorting tokens.

kids in 3 different schools and never had any real pressure put on us to collect them. Like everything I think some parents do give in to kids pressure and thereby put pressure on themselves but we are usually fairly successful in deflecting this kind of pressure.
