An interesting looking bird fell out of a tree while I was in the garden today. It can't seem to fly and there are hungry cats around the place. Is there any vet or somebody I could call to help it? What should I do?

Best leave it alone and see if the parents come back to it, if not nature will take its course. :)

    ie it will die needlessly?

We have saved many birds to fly and live.

if its broken a wing or something it will most likely die of shock and will not drink or eat food you give it... dont handle it at all. Give the ISPCA a ring, they will tell you what to do, more than likely they will tel you to leave it be. its sad though...

Ive tried on several occasion to save injured birds, im guessing it was my ugly mush that scared the **** out of them cas none of them survived.
