So is it all going to go down hill after this fine weather leaves us around Thursday? I hope the rest of the Summer isn't cr@p weather!

31st May 2008 was the last day of summer last year.

It looks like we have gotten at least one extra day this year.

This is merely the start of a loooooooong summer (of good weather).

its funny how in this country we never loose the faith regarding our expectations of what the summer might bring

the truth of the matter is we only get a summer on average ever 5 or 6 years at best and while last year and the year before were astoundingly awfull , the last really good summer we had was in 2006 and before that , you had to go back to the legendary summer of 1995 , before that it was 1989 and before that 1984 and before that 1977 ,
all the other years in between were very average with no more than two decent weeks in each month and certainly no more than 7 days of over 25 degrees in each month

we simply do not get summers in this country , we are possibly thee only country on earth where too much rain is an actual problem and i dont just mean in terms of giving people the blues , agriculture suffers in this country due to too much rain where as the opposite is the case in most countrys

Gees get over the rain. Maybe try living in Bangladesh where the annual monsoonal rain regularly displaces over 3m people. We have it easy on rain compared to some Asian countries where roads get washed away and disease is rampant in the rainwater they have no choice but to drink.

We get summer every year - its the quality thats the issue, not the width. The damp residents of Papua New Guinea would argue the latter point.

they said that last year would be good. How did that fair out?

Anyway lets not crib about the quality of the weather and just enjoy it when we have it.

Oh nice, my exams end on thursday!!

Yup, this is pretty much the last days of proper sunshine we're gonna have...
We may have a few more scattered days over the next 2 months though...

I would actually be delighted with that compared to the last two summers. Seriously delighted.

Today was lovely. Day off too because of the bank holiday. I got a load of clothes washed, dried, ironed and folded away. Yippee.
