i have very fair hair on my upper lip and it has never bothered me much, but the other day i decided to pluck it. i was doing some research and is it true that plucking can stimulate hair growth making it grow faster and darker? i also read that plucking close to the upper lip can cause dark hair to grow on your cheeks?!

just wondering what experience other ladies have with facial hair and best methods to remove it. if anyone knows, whats the least expensive hair removal cream on the market?

i hope you havent plucked it yet because that will cause it to grow back more, cos with tweezers your gonna rip most of the hairs rather than pull them out by the root.
Hair removal cream is just the same as shaving because you're not getting rid of the root so they'll grow back darker again.
Best thing to do if it bothers you so much is to wax it or get it threaded - both remove it by the root so takes it a while to grow back and it just grows back the same as it was before.
Google both methods maybe see which one you like best. I prefer threading especially around the summer cos if you have a bit of natural tan on your face, waxing will make the area when you wax lighter and fairly noticeable. but its very quick and easy.
Threading will just take the hairs off by the root but is a little more painful on the upper lip. Redness only lasts for about an hour too where as after wax your face could be red for a day...thats my 2 cents anyway :D good luck xxx

you could try Bioxet .... its had mixed reviews .... but by all accounts its supposed to be better than anything on the market.

I bought it for my sis a couple of weeks ago - she wants to thin/remove the hairs on her arms before another sis's wedding in sept.

from my understanding (I did research before buying it for her - its not available in her area) .... you are supposed to wax the area then apply the cream - it weakens the hair at the root and over a couple of months thins the hair.

The thing that stands out for me is that you need to get the area waxed - which means the cream is only used in conjunction with waxing.... it thins the hair.

if you think you have visible hair and dont want to have it ..... follow the guidelines and best of luck.

Ps. take pics and monitor the progress. (make sure you have the same lighting for the pics to ensure they all look the same - ie. take pics in the bathroom with whatever light is there)
