Laptop Backlight Problems (need help)

My old fujitsusimens need to fix. Monitor working but i dont have backlight. I have use this laptop only for my pictures(photoshop) I don't wanna use desk screen. I need just compact laptop.
Do i need new LCD???
Can anyone just tell me how much fix that problem???

Most likely a problem with the inverter on the laptop. Can't say for certain but probably won't need a new screen.

What the model number of the laptop.

Fujitsu siemens amilo L 1300 4 years old.
It cost me 480 new. If i can fix it around 100 its Ok. But if more i think just no point to do that. What you think???

Ya might pick up a second hand one on ebay. here is an example of an auction that ended.

To get it done for under €100 would be pushing it a little. Irish. DIY job might be recommended in this case. It's an easy enough job. Google replacing lcd inverter and away ya go.

this happened to my siemans laptop too. The "light" has went on it and i cant use it anymore. Would anyone know where i could get it fixed. 100 quid is a little expensive

I opened lcd cover. If i got right inverter in my model located just down of lcd and have 3 light for power battery becouse on back side LCD i didn't find any electro units. I hope it is correct !??:rolleyes:

I cant quite remember the model number. I think it could be the Fujitsu Amilo Notebook Pa 2510 but im not totally sure. Its been awhile since i used the thing.

If new inverter don't help me,is it difficult change screen? Any secrets?? I see on ebay new LCD for that model around 70.

Screen change is easy. no secrets, but my money would be on the inverter. I'll check availability of parts for ye tomorrow. IF they are available i'll give ye contact details for someone to call.
