what probs have u when recording???? does it come out on black and white? is it connect by scart? If so try using an rf lead and tuning it in to the dvd recorder instead of scart.

Was it fine before the new card, is this a new development with this new card. If thats the case I won't be using mine(when it arrives).

What were you trying to record? Was it something off Box Office or Sky Movies by any chance?

if you don't mind, im going to assume here that there was no problem with recording from your sky+ box to your dvd recorder before you got the new card, so...

this reminds me of a recent problem i had when i got in skyHD multiroom recently, my old card had to go in the new HD box, while the new card went in my old sky+ box. when i went to view a program on my sky+ planner it said "recording interrupted" on every recording. in order to watch my old recordings, i had to take the old card out of the HD box, put it back into the sky+ box. after doing this i was able to access my programs and record them to dvd, and clear out my planner. after that then i was able to put back in the new card into the sky+ and carry on as normal.

Thats weird alright. Surely this problem isn't widespread with the new cards or we would have heard about it by now! Afaik you are allowed to record anything(except Box Office stuff) for personal use

Iv had the same problem for about 5 or 6 years on the bog standard sky box. We bought a dvd recorder instead of sky plus at the time because they treated existing customers as money in the bank and why help them out with a deal. I can record sky but only if Im watching the same channel which defeats the purpose.
